The CBSE Class 12 Board exams 2018 is slated to begin from March 5 and students from the arts stream all over India will be sitting for the Economics paper on March 26.

India Today Education got talking to Hariyana Vidya Mandir (Kolkata) Economics teacher Bratati Pain, Board Examiner of Economics for eight years, with 18 years of teaching experience, about the silly mistakes students tend to lose marks for in the Class 12 CBSE Economics Board exam.

This will help students understand where exactly they have a chance of losing marks at the hands of the Board examiner. Most of these errors have absolutely nothing to do with your knowledge of the subject and can easily be avoided.

HERE ARE THE COMMON ERRORS YOU CAN EASILY AVOID IN YOUR CBSE CLASS 12 ECONOMICS PAPER:

1.Students often spend too long on questions with fewer marks in their Class 12 CBSE Economics Board exam and this may lead students to exceed the word limit on short answers quite often.

2.Poor time management can lead to a half solved question paper. Students need to keep a check on the time they are taking to solve each section. This can be done better if one adheres to the word limit on the answers of every section.

3.Many a time, even when asked in the question paper, students tend to miss out on providing the diagram.

4.In numerical based questions in the Economics Board exam, students need to be careful while copying the data from the question paper. Students should carry out the additions vertically instead of horizontally to avoid mistakes.

5.Students ought to try their best to answer the questions serially.

6.It is preferred if students underline or highlight the important words and phrases in their answers.

7.Long answers for Class 12 Economics Board exam should best be started from a fresh page.

Prepare well, and make sure you do not make these silly errors in your exam hall to avoid losing marks even when you know the answers. All the best!
