GATE 2020: The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2020 online registration has started. The online registration form was released on September 1, 2019. Candidates who are interested can apply for GATE 2020 on or before September 24, 2019. Here’s all the important information regarding GATE 2020 one needs to know. GATE 2020: How to apply
Step 1: Log on to the official website of GATE 2020, gate.iitd.ac.in
Step 2: Click on ‘GATE Online Application Portal is live. Step 3:Click here to Apply’
Step 4: Make your login account
Step 5: Log in using your enrollment id/email address and password
Step 6:Fill the application form
Step 7: Upload all the required documents and pay the fees
Step 8: Click on submit

GATE 2020: Application fee
Unreserved: Rs 1,500
Women: Rs 750
SC/ST/PwD: Rs 750
International: USD 50

GATE 2020: Eligibility criteria
Candidates must be a graduate in engineering and technology. Master’s degree in any relevant science subject will also work.
Candidates with the back (below passing mark) in any of the subjects in their qualifying examination will have to upload a copy of marksheet of the final year, issued from their institute. Internet downloaded marksheet will not be considered in this case.
Candidates who are expected to finish their courses , will have to upload a signed copy of certificate from the Head of Department of institute or a copy of marksheet.
GATE 2020: Important Instructions to the candidates
Personal information (name, date of birth, personal mobile number, parents name, parents mobile number, etc.). Please note that the name of the candidate in the application form must be exactly same as that in the qualifying degree certificate (or) the certificate issued by the Head of the Department/Institute in which the candidate is pursuing his/her study.
GATE 2019 scorecard will be issued as per the name entered in the application form. Prefix/title such as
Mr/Shri/Dr/Mrs/Smt, etc. should NOT be used before the name.
Email ID and Mobile Number (Email ID and Mobile cannot be revised after the registration)

Address for Communication (including PIN code)
Eligibility degree details
College name and address with PIN code
A high-quality image of candidate’s photograph conforming to the specified requirements (File size should be between 5KB and 200KB)
Good quality image of candidate’s signature conforming to the specified requirements (File size should be between 5KB and 150KB)
Scanned copy of the Eligibility Certificate: Please upload any one of the following valid Documents (File size should between 10 KB and 500 KB, pdf format) 1. Degree certificate / Provisional passing certificate. 2. Course completion certificate. 3. Consolidated mark sheet / Final year mark sheet. 4. Those who have not completed undergraduate studies. Upload Eligibility certificate in the prescribed format is available in GATE 2019 Website. 5. Section A or B completion certificate from a professional society
Scanned copy of Category (SC/ST) certificate (if applicable) in pdf format (File size should be between 10KB and 300KB)
Scanned copy of PwD Certificate (if applicable) in pdf format (File size should be between 10KB and 300KB)
Scanned copy of Dyslexic Certificate (if applicable) in pdf format (File size should be between 10KB and 300KB)
Details of the valid Identity Document* (ID) (The same ID, in original, should be carried to the examination hall).
