How to go floral this summer

As the spring and summer seasons embark on their journey to Monsoons, floral prints in gorgeous hues are blooming around on different apparels and fabric wear. The period that inspires the budding of lovely flowers, spreads a wave of multihued blossoms, invigorating and cheering every soul, that therefore encourage designers to create trends in summer that enunciate the spring flowers nurturing to its glory. And one such Designer Krina Panjwani, Brand Head of Indian Ink elaborates on the floral trend and how you can be summer ready sartorially.

In the spring and summer of 2018, floral prints and designs have dominated the market for the pepped up look they create. From beautiful prints with big flowers to small motifs, machine and hand embroidery with highlights crafted from the metallic threads, tie and die to block printing, the use of flowery depictions has been a rage in this summer.

This year, designer lehenga choli, anarkali suits, shrugs, jackets, palazzos to skirts, tunics and tops are covered in stimulating flowers that look feminine and young at the same time. Teaming one of the two part dress with print and keeping the other plain in solid color also looks appealing. One can also keep the entire ensemble unadorned and put in an elegant scarf that bears a favorite flourished print, casting a magic the delightful blooms.

Palazzos are a great pair of lose pants that provide excellent comfort and can be teamed up with tunics, long kurtis, short tops to anarkalis. Markets offer a beautiful assortment of palazzo duppatta sets in floral prints that can be contrasted with a solid hued kurti with zero imprints. The look is absolutely dapper and is trending very fast. The same set can sported with indo western floral tops and jackets to create a chic look.

For someone with a bold taste, adorning two floral prints together with either different colors or coordinated blouse and pants in tasteful mishmash is also a cool way of flaunting love for maximalism in prints of flowers.Floral prints over the years have been skillfully crafted with other trending prints of Stripes, Geometric, Chevron, Damask, Scroll, Paisley and Polka Dots that make the piece a striking combination of superlative designs.

The flowery patterns have also made way for the traditional Indian couture especially the wedding attires and Kurti Churidar sets that are sequined, and embellished in stones, metal threads, Swarovski, as well as in handwork of Zardosi, Filigree, Kutchi, Zari and Appliqué that make them spectacular and rich looking. Cuts and patterns of ruffles, capes, frills, uneven hemlines, layers on layers, dual fabrics and patch work are some of the ways by which the impressive enigma of floral can be captured and personified through different apparels.

Choose summer friendly and light textiles in Cotton, Rayon, and Linen in sober yet bright colors so that it embodies the magnificence of every shining bud and spread its beauty and grace, ubiquitously!
