How respectful are we towards our tri colour?

Every year on our Independence Day and The Republic Day, the National flag is hoisted with pomp and glory and of course with due respect. But, what happens to them after the ceremony? To look at the torn and crumpled flags strewn all over will make anyone think that we do not value them at all. Pinning on the flags to our chests and sticking them in our vehicles is definitely not enough. Disrespect towards our national symbols is a punishable offence.Give them their due respect. They are hard won symbols.
