“Even now, a 60-year-old hero runs around a tree with a 25-year-old woman for a sequence in a Tamil film. And, he is hailed as super star. This is an example for the dearth of substance in the Tamil film industry. Reading literature and travelogues alone can help make good movies,” says postmodern Tamil writer Charu Nivedita.
