Residents demand closure of blue metal factory

Residents of Devala Bokkar Colony in Gudalur staged a demonstration in front of collectorate here on Friday demanding closure of a blue metal factory in their area.

According to the protesters, more than 200 families reside in the colony. “The blue metal factory that has been functioning here is polluting the entire area. Children and old people are the worst affected due to the dust and smoke that comes out of the factory.
