A Rajma Nation Entertainment spokesperson revealed that after months of pre-production, the first season of their music show is finally on floors. The show will combine myriad musical influences ranging from folk, Sufi, Bollywood to contemporary hip-hop, rock and pop music. The final list of artistes isn’t officially released yet but the biggest names of the music industry are confirmed to be involved.

Babu Haabi – singer-rapper, composer and record producer

The digital music label is headed by noted singer-rapper, composer and record producer Babu Haabi. On a telephonic interview, Haabi said, “A prominent part of today’s culture is the digital space! Today, 100% of youth consumes music digitally. I have been toying with the idea of this project for the longest time. Every month, we make dozens of songs for brands and other music labels – it’s time to do this on our own, with our own signature touch, with our own fairy dust.”

The show will be recorded and performed in a live format with all artistes performing together in one space. Haabi added, “The focus will be music, totally unglamorous and completely raw. We are taking the audience where they’ve never been before – inside a private space of the artiste where music is actually born before they polish it and put it out there. There is a world of difference in creation and performance. The magic that happens in an artiste’s private space is something that the viewers have never seen before. It’s raw and vulnerable. This time we are taking this right inside the artiste’s sacred sanctum.”
