UB City, known as one of the biggest luxury projects of Bengaluru, exudes an impression of opulence and wonder. Dominating the skyline of Bengaluru with its rich gold flair, the project has established itself as a landmark. So much so that the Karnataka government is likely to grant it a heritage status. There is more to this project that sets it apart from the rest of the real estate projects across the city.

PropGuide lists five such interesting facts about UB City:

Pioneered by Vijay Mallya

A brainchild of Vijay Mallya, the chairman of United Breweries Group, UB City was built in collaboration with the Prestige Group. Located on the Vittal Mallya Road (named after Vijay Mallya’s father), the project accommodates the headquarters of all the companies under the UB Group umbrella.

It has a helipad!

Oozing luxury, UB Tower in UB City is equipped with an elevated rooftop helipad. The Bengaluru airport is just a five-minute flight from this helipad. Interestingly, UB Towers is one of the tallest structures in Karnataka, standing at a height of 123 metres.

Home to India’s first luxury mall

UB City is known to house the country’s first luxury mall, The Collection, with exclusive showrooms of brands like Louis Vuitton, Paul Smith, Rolex, Burberry and Canali, among others. It is a retail haven for the luxury shoppers.

Almost unlimited parking space

UB City has a multi-level parking space that is claimed to never show a “parking full” sign. Each of the towers, UB Tower, Comet, Canberra and Concord, has its own parking space, along with a common underground parking. Together, these parking spaces can hold around 1,100 cars at a given time.

Super luxury apartments

When constructed, the total cost of this project stood at around Rs 1,500 crore, including the super-luxury apartments. Known to be some of the most expensive apartments in the country, the starting price of these units at launch stood at around Rs 20 crore.
