Kiran Bedi orders probe into unauthorised stay in guest house

Covai Post Network

Puducherry Lt Governor Kiran Bedi has ordered an investigation into the unauthorised allocation of a room permanently at Puducherry Guest House in Chennai.

In a statement, she said she received a complaint from an anonymous source that one Vaithianathan had been occupying a room permanently at the guest house though it had been allotted officially to Puducherry Public Prosecutor Gandhiraj.

She ordered a probe into the matter and Vaithianathan was made to vacate the room after paying the required charges. She also said action would be taken against the official who authorised the stay.

Kiran Bedi also ordered an investigation into the complaint that the salary of Vaithianathan’s driver was being paid from Speaker’s office. The Chief Secretary was asked to issue necessary orders regarding this.
