Advance payment for housing waived -S P Velumani

With the Kurichi lake overflowing and inundating nearby residential areas, people living there have been advised to move immediately to the houses allotted to them through Slum Clearance Board. Meanwhile, the people submitted a petition to Minister S P Velumani requesting that the houses be given to them immediately and that they were unable to pay the amount of Rs.36000 required for it. Minister has promised them orally that the amount would be waived and also returned to those who had already paid.
