In an event organised by the Puthiya Thalaimurai channel in Coimbatore on June 8th, a ruckus erupted when members of BJP protested against director/actor Ameer’s speech. Protesting this action, journalists in Coimbatore went in procession wearing a black band across their mouth to the City Police Commissioner office .They then petitioned the district administration head to appeal to the CM to repeal the case filed against the reporter.
