More than 50 employees of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board staged a demonstration in front of the office here condemning the Government for announcing an interim relief for them and to the retired employees. “The Government has announced an interim relief of Rs. 2500 for the employees and Rs. 1250 for the retired employees. This is a tactic to delay to enter into an agreement on increase in our pay scales,” they said. However, members of CITU, BMS and NLO did not participate in the strike.
