Ganesan of Aavarampaalayam said to have pledged 190 gms of gold jewellery in Central Bank of India, Aavarampaalayam, came today to the bank along with a financier to pay the dues and retrieve the jewels. On receiving the jewels back, he found them to be fake and started a ruckus at the bank. Meanwhile , the bank authorities allege that Karthik, a jewel assayer employed by the bank had been in cohorts with his friends and helped them pledge fake jewellery.While Karthik has absconded, Peelamedu police are conducting investigations and have taken Ganesan into custody for enquiries.
