‘Kanchi Seer did not have energy to stand up for Tamil Anthem’

Senior DMK leader M. Durai Murugan said that the junior seer of Kanchi Mutt Vijayendra Saraswathi had the energy to stand up when the national anthem was being played, but did not have the same energy to get up when the Tamizh Thai Vazhthu was being sung.
Talking to reporters at the City airport on Thursday, Durai Murugan said the Seer neither had the physical strength nor the mind to stand up when the song was played at a function in Chennai on Tuesday.
