Man dies of viral fever in Coimbatore govt hospital

A 61-year-old person from Kamakshi Amman Kovil Street here died of viral fever at Coimbatore Government Hospital on Friday. Some suspected that Devaraj died of H1N1 virus attack. However, doctors denied any such possibility. The deceased had been suffering from viral infection for the past four days and his relatives took him to a private hospital before admitting him to the government hospital when his condition worsened. The health department and the district administration have been on a mission to prevent the spread of swine flu and dengue in Coimbatore
