Noyyal river foaming due to contamination. Noyyal bridge becomes inaccessible

With the continuous rains in the Western Ghats, Noyyal river has been in spate for the past few days. Meanwhile due to the contamination from scores of dyeing units on its banks, the river started foaming and the foam has spread on to the bridge making it impossible for people to use the bridge. Social activists and the public demand that action be taken against the dyeing units responsible for this.
