Strong winds and heavy rain- Trees come crashing down en route Kovai Kutralam

With heavy rains accompanied by strong winds lashing the Western Ghats,Kovai Kutralam has been having heavy water inflow and flooding. Meanwhile, numerous trees including teak and huge tamarind trees have fallen down due to the strong winds. Forest department is working vigorously in clearing the trees by cutting up each one and seeing to the repairing of fallen electric cables.
