Thai Poosam celebrations begin at Marudhamalai

Thai Poosam celebrations began at the famous Marudhamalai Murugan temple began with the flag hoisting ritual on Thursday.
The temple, one of Lord Muruga’s ‘Arupadai Veedu’, is thronged by thousands of people.
A large number of people, including tribals who played their traditional instruments during the flag hoisting ceremony, witnessed in the rituals. Later the presiding deity – Lord Muruga with His Consorts Valli and Devasana – was taken around the parakara.
