Man sentenced life for murdering wife

The Mahila Court here today sentenced a man to life imprisonment for murdering his wife, suspecting her fidelity, two years ago in Pollachi.

The prosecution case was that Murugesan, a daily wage earner, in Pollachi, always abused his wife, Revathi for always speaking over cell phone.

Suspecting her fidelity, Murugesan strangled her by neck and banged Revathi’s head to the wall at their house. on February 15, 2015, resulting in dying on the spot.

The case was on at the Mahila Court and the judge, A Manimozhi in his judgement sentenced Murugesan to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs.5,000 failing which an extended imprisonment for another three months.
