The Kerala High Court on Wednesday asked film director Nadirsha to appear before the Perumbavoor Circle Inspector for interrogation at 10 a.m. on Friday in connection with the actress attack and abduction case.

The court, while hearing Nadirsha’s anticipatory bail plea, postponed the matter to October 18 for further hearing.

Though police can question Nadirsha, they cannot arrest him until the court’s verdict on his bail plea. The court also came down harshly on the police officials for not filing a charge sheet in the case. It asked the public prosecutor whether the case was a screenplay that they intend to extend the case indefinitely.

The court also asked the police whether they question new culprit every month and why the bail plea of Nadirsha should be rejected if he was not a culprit in the case.

Director-General of Prosecution Manjeri Sreedharan Nair, who appeared for the police, said the probe would be over in the next two weeks in the case.
