TN CM urges all parties to unite to secure state’s rights

Chennai : Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K.Palaniswami urged all parties to unite together to secure the state’s rights even though there may be differences amongst all.

Speaking at the all party leader’s meeting held at the state secretariat to discuss measures to be taken by the state to secure its rights

Thanking the leaders of political parties and farmer’s associations, Palaniswami also listed out the steps taken out by the state government to secure the rights of the state in the Cauvery river water dispute with Karnataka.

The Supreme Court on Feb 16, 2018 reduced Tamil Nadu’s share of the Cauvery river water to 177.25 TMC, down from 192 TMC allocated by a tribunal in 2007.

The all party meeting was called to discuss the issue and also the legal ways to be explored to secure the state’s rights.
