Coimbatore : Tamil Nadu had become a ‘battleground’ against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government for the failure to form the Cauvery Management Board, CPM politburo member, G Ramakrishnan said today.

The overwhelming response to the call given by various political parties and organisations to hoist black flag atop houses and also wear black dresses was a clear indication that the mood of the people in Tamil Nadu, he told mediapersons. The people were totally against the visit of Modi to Chennai, as he failed them in Cauvery issue, Ramakrishnan said on the sidelines of hoisting black flag atop the District party office here.
