Jayanthi Manohar takes over as Coimbatore FLO Chief

Coimbatore: At a change of guard function, Associated Engineering Traders and Surya Agencies Managing Partner Jayanthi Manohar has taken over as Chairperson of the FICCI Ladies Organisation for 2018-19.

Along with Jayanthi Manohar, the following were chosen for various positions of the FLO; Poonam Bafna- Senior Vice-Chairperson, Preethika Balaji Vice-Chairperson, Rithisha Nivedha Secretary, Dharma Subramaniam Joint Secretary and Suguna Ravi Treasurer. S Devika, Ramesh and Suguna Lakshminarayanasamy were appointed members of the executive committee.

Outgoing Chairperson Uma Maheswari welcomed the gathering while Sister Kothai of Bramhakumaris was the special guest.

Explaining the theme ‘Explore, Empower and Enrich’ for 2018, Jayanthi said she and her team aimed to empower women and enrich their lives across all sections of society.

The FLO Coimbatore Chapter has spearheaded various verticals in the community for women empowerment like ‘Swayam and Entrepreneurs’ Development Programme’ a consultancy and mentorship cell providing consultation cum training in marketing techniques and ‘Swaach Bharat’.

“The objective of the FLO is to help women show case their talents, skills and experiences across sectors and verticals of the economy, for a truly inclusive economic growth trajectory,” she said.
