Two die of swine flu in Coimbatore GH

Coimbatore : Two persons died of H1N1 (swine Flu) in the Government Hospital  here in the last 18 hours, taking the toll of such death to 20.

According to hospital sources, 61-year old Palanisamy was admitted to the hospital on November 30, after he was diagnosed with the symptoms of swine flu.

 However, Palanisamy, hailing from Nilambur on the outskirts, succumbed late last night without responding to the treatment, they said on Sunday.

Similarly, the 65-year old Velayudham of Podanur in the city was undergoing treatment in the hospital since November 11 and he was tested H1N1 positive and being provided treatment.

Velayudham also succumbed late last evening, they said.

 A total of 85 persons are undergoing treatment for various types of fever – 21 swine flu, four dengue and the remaining for viral fever.
