Schools, colleges to be closed on Monday in 13 districts

Schools and colleges will remain closed on Monday (November 16) in 13 districts of Tamil Nadu including Chennai, Kanchipuram, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Vellore, Tiruvannamalai, Karur, Dharmapuri, Namakkal, Ramanathapuram, and Trichy districts, due to forecast of heavy rains. Schools and collges would also be closed in Puducherry on Monday.
Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University-affiliated law colleges exams scheduled for November 16, 17 and 18 have been cancelled due to rains and the new dates will be announced later, a release said.
Examinations to be held by Thiruvalluvar University and at Presidency College in Chennai have been postponed.
In Ramanathapuram, the educational institutions would be closed for the next two days.
In Karur, Dharmapuri and Perambalur, schools alone would be closed on Monday.
