46th Coimbatore Sahodaya Annual Athletic Meet Concludes at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham

The 46th Coimbatore Sahodaya Schools Complex Inter-District Annual Athletic Meet concluded at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham with a valedictory ceremony, marking the end of three days of athletic competitions. The meet witnessed participation from over 7,000 students representing 120 schools from across the western region of Tamil Nadu.

Ajit Kumar,IPS,District Police Chief, Palakkad, was the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony and distributed medals and trophies to the winners. He congratulated the participants and encouraged students to pursue sports alongside academics.

Brindhavan Vidyalaya Public School secured the overall championship in both boys’ and girls’ categories. SSVM Mettupalayam finished second overall, followed by SSVM World School in third place. In category-wise results, SSVM Mettupalayam won the overall boys’ championship, while Brindhavan Vidyalaya Public School won the overall girls’ championship.

The valedictory ceremony was attended by Dr.Ajithkumar P,Registrar,Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham; Air Cmde Satish Menon (Retd.), Campus Director; and Dr.Shoury Kuttappa from the Department of Psychology and Directorate of Admissions.

Office bearers of the Coimbatore Sahodaya Schools Complex present at the event included Dr.Navamani,Chairperson; Mr. Gnanapandithan, Vice President Arasu Periyasamy, Secretary;Samson Chelladurai, Associate Secretary;Vidya Shankar and Dr.Abishek Paul Jackson, Joint Secretaries; and Lilly Princy, Treasurer. Committee members Mrs. KarunambikeswariPrema, Salin, and Mathiselvi were also present.

The event concluded with the felicitation of winners and participants by representatives of the Sahodaya Schools Complex and the host institution.
