Coimbatore, Dec. 15 : The Nehru Group of Institutions hosted the 17th Shri P. K. Das Memorial Best Faculty Award and Life Time Achievement Award 2025 on Monday, December 15, 2025, 10:30 AM. at Shri P. K. Das Memorial Auditorium, Nehru Arts and Science College, Thirumalayampalayam.

The ceremony, held at the all-India level, honours distinguished faculty across disciplines and celebrates lifelong contributions to education. Dr. V. Vijayakumar, Principal, NASC delivered the welcome address. Adv. Dr. P. Krishnadas, Chairman & Managing Trustee of NGI, presided over the ceremony, while Dr. Jacob Kalle, Consultant, ICSSR-SRC, Ministry of Education, served as the Chief Guest and Dr. B. K. Krishnaraj Vanavarayar, eminent educationalist, acted as the Special Guest. Dr. P. Krishnakumar, CEO & Secretary, NGI, delivered the keynote address and appreciated the awardees.

In total 22 faculty winners spanning fields including Languages, Commerce, Management, Sciences, and Engineering from institutions across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Kerala were honored with the Best Faculty Award apart from this the prestigious Life Time Achievement Award 2025 honorees include Dr. B. K. Krishnaraj Vanavarayar of Kumaraguru Institutions and Dr. K. Kadirvelu of Bharathiyar University.

Instituted in memory of visionary founder Shri P. K. Das, the awards continue to uphold NGI’s mission of “Moulding True Citizens” and fostering academic excellence nationwide.
