Shyna, a woman Maoist, who was arrested along with her husband Roopesh and three others, alleged on Wednesday that she was not allowed to meet any visitors and other inmates in the jail.

She complained that visitors were prevented from meeting her and also the things that they were bringing for here were being stopped, when she was produced before the District Session Judge, Pongiappan. As the judge asked her to give her problem in writing, Shyna filed a petition to the Court, police said.The judge then posted the case for July 31.
Eswaran, Veeramani and Anoop, who were also brought along with Shyna, raised slogans like extending support to NLC employees, asking the Government to take steps to prevent farmer suicides, and demanding to know the reason for their arrest for working for the cause of poor and justice. Roopesh was not produced before the court, as he was taken to Kerala in connection
with a case there.
