KVB registers 10 per cent growth

Karur Vysya Bank recorded a 10.04 per cent growth at Rs. 89,555 crores at the end of the last financial year. This is as against Rs. 81,381 crores of the year 2014-15.

According to the bank, its total deposits went up by 12.06 per cent from Rs. 44,690 crores to Rs. 50,079 crores. The gross advance raised by 7.59 per cent (from Rs. 36,691 crores to Rs. 39,476 crores).

The total income stood at Rs. 6150.22 crores as on 31March, 2016 as against the previous year’s 5976.71 crores. Its net income stood at 3.34 per cent as against the previous year’s 2.91 per cent.

While the bank’s other income grew by 21.69 percent from Rs. 580.84 crores to Rs. 706.81 crores, its operating profit rose by 30.97 p.c. and net profit incresed by 22.26 p.c. (from464.28 crores to 567.63 crores)
