Denied admission, girl kills self

A 15-year-old girl hanged herself in her house at Pollachi today as a private school denied her admission for science group.
T. Devaki, who had scored 283 marks in her tenth examinations, had approached a private school seeking admission into first group. However, the school denied her the group citing her low score.
Dejected over this the girl took the extreme step. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
