The chairman of Thyrocare Technologies, Dr. A. Velumani has urged students to increase their level of thinking to lead a disciplined life.

Addressing the students after graduation day function at the Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology recently, he said inspiration and desperation push people to greater heights. “Born in an ordinary background is not a bane. It only helps one realise and achieve dreams,” he said.

Sankar Janarthanan, senior vice-president and global head of Virtusa Polaris pointed out how technology has been improving day by day and its role in today’s world.

Totally 512 students received their degrees – 416 graduates and 96 post graduates.

The principal of the college, Dr. C. Natarajan, said the college had secured 22nd place in the top 100 private engineering colleges.
