Agri Production Commissioner reviews research activities in TNAU

Tamil Nadu Agricultural Production Commissioner Gagandeep Singh Bedi appreciated the contributions of the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) and, on his visit here, assured the institute that the state government will provide all support for education, research and extension activities.

Bedi, who visited the university’s various centres, including the Paddy Breeding Centre, Wetlands, Orchard, Post Harvest Technology Centre and Directorate of Agri Business Development, discussed development activities and research projects here with Vice-Chancellor Prof K Ramasamy and senior officials.

During his review and inspection, Bedi appreciated the contributions of TNAU for the farming community, a university release said. He interacted with scientists to know about available research facilities, required amenities, the degree programme and the training being offered by TNAU for the public and for the farming community, it said.
