Sankara College celebrates Graduation Day

Sankara College of Arts and Science celebrated its 6th Graduation Day here today, in which 420 students, including 348 undergraduates and 71 postgraduates, received their degrees.

The chief guest for the occasion, Dr Sheela Ramachandran, former Vice-Chancellor, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, awarded the graduates. University rank holders and the best projects from every stream were also given cash awards and mementos.

Dr. Sheela in her speech advised the graduates to incorporate the education gained towards sustainable development for the society.

The dignitaries on the dais also included College Secretary T.P. Ramachandran, Joint Secretary Sandhya Ramachandran and Deputy Joint Secretary Nithya Ramachandran.

The graduates pledged an oath administered by the Principal Dr. H. Balakrishnan to support the cause of morality, to uphold and advance the social order and well-being of human kind.
