Woman hacked to death; murder weapon , bag of covering jewels recovered

A woman aged between 35 and 40 was found murdered at a farmland in Thondamuthur with sickle injuries on her neck.
According to police sources, the identity of the woman who has been hacked to death is unknown. When the woman’s body was recovered , she was wearing a yellow colour saree and the weapon used for the assault was found 10m away from the body.
The police also found a carry bag with covering jewels near the deceased. A pair of Gloves with blood stains, perhaps used by the accused was also found near the dead woman. The dog squad and forensic team arrived at the spot to collect evidence.
The police tipped off about the murder by a person from the area over telephone. Finger prints have been collected. Investigations are on.
