A meaningful gesture on Gandhi Jayanthi

Rajasthan Cosmo Club Foundation (RCCF) Chennai, in association with Rajasthani Sangh Coimbatore, today distributed over 8,000 new clothes to 4,125 beneficiaries of 27 institutions drawn from orphanages, old age homes, including tribal and Adi Dravidar students.

For the last two decades, RCCF, through its cloth bank in Chennai has been distributing clothes in times of calamities, flood and slum fire in addition to handing over 50,000 school uniforms to various needy children every year.

The Corporation Commissioner, Dr K Vijayakarthikeyan IAS and IG of West Zone K Shankar IPS distributed clothes to various beneficiaries in a function organized at the Rajasthani Sangh Coimbatore. Philanthropists Gopal Maheshwary and Balchand Bothra were the guests of honour.

“Today on Gandhi Jayanthi I am happy to be a part of this noble gesture. The RCCF has always done a lot of good work for the needy in the society. Every year during the month of April, the Foundation distributes books to the needy in Chennai. I appreciate the good work of this foundation,” Mr. Shankar said.
