According to police, Muniyappan (45), who has been running auto for the last 20 years in RS Puram, noticed a yellow bag lying on the road.

On opening, he found gold jewels – 20 coins and ornaments. Immediately he went to nearby police station and handed over the bag.

Even as Muniyappan was in the station, police received a call from the owner of the bag, stating that his staff had lost a bag with jewels, while going on a motorcycle.

The owner was asked to come to the Police Commissioner’s office with valid proof and collect his belongings. Meanwhile, police also took Muniyappan to the Commissioner’s office.
