As a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CRS) activities and the Swachh Bharat mission, corporate house Bosch India will provide dustbins to Government-run primary schools.

Coimbatore and the surrounding areas have been divided into 15 blocks. There are 989 Government-run primary schools in these blocks. Bosch India will give away three dustbins to each of the schools, in a phased manner.

“The idea of the project is to teach the children, while they are still young, about the importance of keeping the surroundings clean. We will hand over three dustbins to each school. The representatives from each of these schools will collect the dustbins,” says a spokesperson from the CSR team of Bosch India. At the schools, the representatives will, in turn, educate the students on how to dispose of the waste.

In all, about 2,967 dustbins will be given away to the schools. The project was initiated two weeks ago and Bosch India plans to complete distributing the dustbins to all the schools by August 15.
