A person wanted in connection with a cheating case in Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala was today detained at the City Airport.

Ohammed Riays of Pollachi was to leave the country by an Air Arabia flight. Police had sent out alerts to airports and railway station in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

Riyaas, who was bound for Sharjah was detained by the immigrant officials during passport verification in the wee hours of the day. Officials immediately alerted in the local police.

Details of the case were not revealed by the authorities. A police team from Kerala arrived here and took the accused for questioning, police said.
