CM promises support for Kongu infra development

Coimbatore : Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palanisamy has assured a delegation of the Kongu region, comprising seven western districts, his support towards the infrastructure development of the the region.

The assurance was given to the members of Kongu Global Forum, led by chairman A Shaktivel, who was accompanied among others by former special CBI Director DR Karthikeyan, at Chennai recently.

The Chief Minister gave details of proposals cleared for development activities

on various front and allocation of necessary funds for airport expansion in Coimbatore, a forum statement said on Friday.

The memorandum appraised the Chief Minister, about the launch of water conservation project ‘Kongu Neer’ through rainwater harvesting for which he promised all assistance.
