Delimitation of wards: DMK alleges AIADMK intervention

DMK MLA N Karthik on Wednesday alleged AIADMK’s intervention in delimitation of wards for the local body elections that is due in the State.
“There are reports of irregularities in the delimitation of panchayats and municipalities due to intervention of ruling party members across Tamil Nadu,” Karthik said, while talking to reporters here.
Karthik, who submitted a petition to the Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer, Dr. K. Vijayakarthikeyan, urged him to ensure that no such intervention and irregularities crept in delimitation in the wards.
“The Commissioner said that the list of wards has been not released so far. I have requested him to provide adequate time for political parties and general public present their views in this regard,” Karthik added.
