Entrepreneur clinic for first generation businessmen

Chennai: Entrepreneurship Development Institute of Tamil Nadu (www.editn.in ), an autonomous society of the Government of Tamil Nadu, has been functioning in the SIDCO Industrial Estate. The Chief Minister had launched New Entrepreneurs Enterprise Development Scheme (NEEDS) to assist first generation entrepreneurs.

The State Government implements Unemployed Youth Employment Generation Programme (UYEGP) and Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) schemes.

In order to assist entrepreneurs, an Entrepreneur’s Clinic is being organized at EDI, every Thursday between 3 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. in collaboration with the Bharathiya Yuva Sakti Trust (BYST), a unit of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Three experts in the areas of finance, banking and management will be available to answer queries.

These clinics have been organised Since June 2016 and 350 entrepreneurs have benefited so far.

The next round will be held on November 3, 10, 17, and 24 at 3 pm at the EDI campus, Parthasarathy Koil Street, SIDCO Industrial Estate, Guindy, Chennai. Entrepreneurs may walk in on any of the above 4 days at 3 p.m.

Entrepreneurs running new businesses require Mentoring, handholding and advisory support. Such Entrepreneurs who have already running their business require advisory support on problems faced by them in accounting, taxation, customer handling, pricing and costing, efficiency and productivity improvement.
