Fire personnel capture Rat Snake from house

Fire Service Personnel on Tuesday captured a three-feet rat snake from house near Link Road in Peelamedu. The snake would later be released into its habitat with the help of Forest personnel.

According to K. Senthil Kumar, Station Officer of Peelamedu sub-station, the fire personnel have undergone training at the Guindy Snake Park in Chennai to capture snakes. “Last week, we rescued a cattle that had accidentally fallen into an open well. We are trained to rescue all animals during emergency. People should take proper care of animals they have at homes,” he told The Covai Post.
