The School of Computational Sciences (SF) of PSG College of Arts & Science successfully organized GATEWAY’26, a National Level Inter-Collegiate Technical Symposium that highlighted emerging trends in Computer Science and technology innovation.
The symposium witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing 36 colleges across the country. A total cash prize of Rs. 30,000, along with certificates and medals, was awarded to winners of various competitions including Link and Think, Star of the Gateway, Blink and Build, Code Relay, Mind Over Machine, Fire and Ash, Workshop, and Hackathon.
The inaugural function began at 9.30 a.m. with an invocation. Dr. M. Jayanthi, Principal of PSG College of Arts & Science, presided over the ceremony. The welcome address was delivered by B. Shazitha, I MCA, and the Annual Report titled “The Fine Prints of Computational Sciences” was presented by Dr. T. Revathi, Dean, School of Computational Sciences.
The Chief Guest, Hemanand Ramasamy, CEO of MachDatum Private Limited, was introduced by Dhanush V, III B.Sc. CT. He also released the department magazine Elevation’26 during the event.
In his keynote address, Mr. Hemanand Ramasamy encouraged students to stay updated with the latest advancements in Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies. Emphasizing the importance of innovation and continuous learning, he motivated students to enhance their technical skills and confidently face future challenges.
The symposium also featured a Technical Model Expo where students presented innovative projects, product ideas, and game simulations. The Hackathon and workshops provided a competitive and collaborative learning experience for participants.The valedictory function concluded with the distribution of prizes to winners, followed by the National Anthem, marking the successful completion of GATEWAY’26.
