Gedee Technical Training Institute Student Ashwini Baby Acharya secured first rank in All India

Coimbatore- The National Council of Vocational Training conducts an All India Trade Examination every year.

Ashwini Baby Acharya, a student of Gedee Technical Training Institute, who is undergoing a course in Tool & Die Maker (Dies & Moulds) (NSQF) has secured the All India first rank in this particular trade under the category of Female Student. She has secured 88% in her final exam, which was conducted in August 2024.

In Tamil Nadu, around 29 students have topped in the all India Level under various trades. She being one of them, she received a special award from the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu at a function in Chennai on 24.10.2024.

Generally, Tool Making is a male dominated profession and she has broken barriers to accomplish the feat. She plans to further study Advanced Tool Making and Tool Design. She is based out of Coimbatore and her father is running a small tool room in Ganapathy. She being the elder daughter helps her father now and then in his workshop.

Such candidates have a very high future not only in India but even in the international market. Ashwini Baby Acharya will also appear for the German DIHK ‘A’ Certificate exam in Tool Making next year, which will enhance her employment opportunities abroad.
