A Coimbatore-based tour operating company is giving an opportunity to the youth to celebrate the Independence Day weekend in style. Those who are looking to escape the routine drudgery of everyday life this Independence Day weekend can choose from the various trekking packages that the company, Jolly Tours, is offering.

The idea of the trekking packages is to strengthen the bonds between likeminded people and ensure that strangers become family through trekking expeditions. Jolly Tours has received a lot of enquires for their trek to the Ela Blooms cardamom farms. This private farm is located 5,500 feet above sea level, about four kilometres from Meppadi junction. As part of this expedition, trekkers will trek through pine forests too.

“We have planned three trekking expeditions on August 13 and 14. One expedition is fully booked, and we are enrolling people for our Wayanad trekking festival, and through Masinagudi,” Harshvardhan B, one of the founders of the Coimbatore-based company, shares. Persons between the ages of 18 and 35 are eligible to register for these trekking expeditions. Trekking enthusiasts over 35 years will also be considered.

Two Coimbatore-based Information Technology (IT) professionals gave up their plum jobs to chase their passion for travelling. For a year-and-half, they studied the market and interacted with several domestic and international travellers. About four years ago, Jolly Tours came into being. Harshvardhan B., and Kumarvel S. are the managing partners who founded this Coimbatore-based company.

They do not have a physical office, and work from home instead.
