Helmetless motorist dies in road accident

In a tragic incident, a 41 year old man was killed in a road accident after his motorcycle was hit by another near Velliyankadu here on Saturday.

According to police, the deceased B.Sivakumar, a farmer by profession was reportedly riding from Karamadai to Velliyankadu on the Velliyankadu Road on Saturday around 11.5 pm.

His vehicle was reportedly hit by a two wheeler and Sivakumar was thrown off from his motorcycle and he sustained grievous head injuries. Though he was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital he succumbed on the way.

Both the persons involved in the accident did not wear helmets. A case has been registered with the Karamadai police and they have started the investigation.
