JOBCON 2015 witnesses good response

As many as 36 sellers showcased their products, production facilities with spare capacity at the JOBCON 2015, a three days event organized by the Coimbatore Sidco Industrial Estate Manufacturers Welfare Association (COSIEMA) from September 25 – 27.

The organizers of the event said that the main aim of the event was to connect outsourcing companies and potential component manufacturers, who have spare capacity in the industrial units.

According to a release, business understanding happened between the buyers and the sellers to the tune of Rs. 6 crore. The exhibitors largely belonged to sectors including Railways, Auto, Textile, Transmission and Pneumatics.

P. Udhayakumar, Director of NSIC New Delhi, said that to know the benefits of the Medium Small and Micro Enterprises
(MSME) sector, industrialists should get familiarized with the notifications of the government from time to time and utilize the offers.

“Unfortunately, the negative attitude by some of the Public Sector Undertakings and Government Purchasers towards MSME sectors are not that much encouraging and this attitude should change,” he added.

He further stated that the Indian economy can be stabilized with the help and participation of the MSME sectors and urged the industrialists to contribute.

E.K.Ponnusamy, the President of Coimbatore District Small Scale Industries Association (CODISSIA), requested the government to reduce the interest rates imposed on industrial units by banks. “An exclusive department should be set up for promoting exports from MSME units,” he added.

SIDBI Coimbatore Branch General Manager Allada Srinivas, General Manager of the District Industries Centre General S.Ashokan, Branch Manager of Tamil Nadu Small Industries Development Corporation Limited (TANSIDCO) Saravanabhava, Assistant Materials Manager for Southern Railways Srinivasan, COPMA President K.Maniraj and COTMA President S.Ravikumar were also present at the event.
