Kottayam: CPM seems to be in no mood to severe it’s ties with bomb blast accused Abdul Nasser Madhani as senior leaders of the left party attended the marriage of Madhani’s son at Thalasserry.

CPM leaders P Jayarajan and E P Jayarajan, MLA, attended the marriage and blessed the couple.

Madhani reached Thalasserry at about 7.30 am by Thiruvananthapuram- Mangaluru express.

Large number of PDP workers were present at the railway station to welcome Madhani who is the Chairman of PDP. He went to a lodge on the Logan road straight from the station. From there he went to the town hall to solemnise the marriage.

The CPM had tied up with PDP for 2011 election when Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was the State Secretary of the party.

This was opposed by the then Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan who was openly criticised by Chandran Pillai, MP, State Ministers P K Gurudasan and S Sarmah. The CPM led LDF lost the election.

Madhani is an accused in Bengaluru serial bomb blast case.
