Leopard cub found dead in water tank

A six-month old leopard cub was found dead in a water tank near Valparai in the district, today.
The villagers of Manikkachenguthaparai found the cub floating dead in the open water
tank and informed the Forest Department, police said.
Forest officials rushed to the spot and retrieved the body and sent it for post-mortem.
Further investigations were on, they said.
