Loyola College wins Star and Stripes quiz

Loyola College, Chennai, won the the Stars and Stripes Challenge quiz competition at Chennai on Wednesday.
Organised by the American Consulate, Chennai, at Women’s Christian College to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Indo-U.S. ties, the competition saw 23 teams from various colleges vie for the top position.
Addressing the gathering, Lauren Lovelace, Consul of the Office of Public Diplomacy & Public Affairs, U.S.
Consulate General, Chennai, said it was a great occasion to celebrate 70 years of trade ties between the two nations. “We are excited to see the students’ deep understanding and knowledge about United States and the history of U.S.-India relations,” he said.
Dr. Lilian Jasper, Principal of Women’s Christian College was present on the occasion.
